Dr. James R. Doty is a clinical professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University, and the Director of the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, of which the Dalai Lama was the founding benefactor.
Join the Crow Collection of Asian Art and board members of Compassionate DFW for a lunch time lecture and Q & A with Dr. Doty. As the Director of CCARE, Dr. Doty has spearheaded many research projects on compassion and altruism, and their relationship to the brain.

In his memoir, Into the Magic Shop, Dr. Doty uses his personal experience and cutting-edge science to reveal how we can change our lives and the lives of our children by changing our brains and our hearts.
